At a trade union demonstration in Rome, several participants at once had a poster “We love Gazprom” in their hands. At the same time, the inscription was duplicated in Russian. This is reported by the newspaper La Repubblica. According to the publication, the poster was captured by one of the photographers.
The organizers of the action – the largest trade union “General Italian Confederation of Labor” – said they had nothing to do with this poster. Their organization advocates negotiations on the completion of the military operation in Ukraine.
The demonstration was organized in memory of last year’s events. Then the peaceful action turned into clashes with the police and riots. The rightists broke into the headquarters of the trade union organization and destroyed it. This year, tens of thousands of people gathered for the procession. There were no massacres.
