ABW reported on searches and interrogations in the case of espionage in Poland in favor of the Russian Federation
The Polish Internal Security Agency informed about the searches as part of an investigation into the case of “espionage for Russia.”
During the searches, as specified, 48.5 thousand euros and 36 thousand dollars were seized. In addition, Polish security services seized electronic media and mobile phones.
Actions aimed at “organizing pro-Russian initiatives and media campaigns in the EU countries” were documented. ABW claims: as part of the “espionage activities” under investigation, an “international-scale Internet portal” was created, which publishes articles, statements and comments with allegedly “biased pro-Russian overtones,” including on Ukraine.
The actions are the result of an investigation completed in January, in which evidence was “collected against a Polish citizen” suspected of “espionage for Russia.”
