Norwegian experts do not take part in the preparation of an “independent opinion” that the area near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was contaminated by Russian military personnel from February to April 2022. This was stated by the head of the international nuclear safety department of the Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Authority (DSA) of Norway, Ingar Amundsen, transmits Dagbladet edition.

“We do not acknowledge the allegations and do not want to speculate why they are being made,” he said.

The day before, February 14, the interdepartmental coordination headquarters for humanitarian response of the Ministry of Defense informed about the impending provocation of Kyiv with Moscow’s accusations of infecting the settlements of Bucha, Gostomel and Irpen, as well as areas near the Kyiv-Pripyat highway.

According to the Ministry of Defense, Norway, among other things, participated in the preparation of this information, the specialists from which will prepare an “independent opinion”. It is assumed that a special website will be created for information support. Also, funds will be allocated for the publication of a series of materials in major American and European media.

The purpose of this event is to “create a negative background and exert political pressure on the leadership of countries” that do not support Western sanctions against Russia, the humanitarian staff said.
