The largest increase in personal income tax revenues to regional budgets was in the Kurgan region (+23.8%), Smolensk region (23.2%), Chuvashia (23.1%), Tatarstan (22.4%), Krasnodar Territory (22.3). %). According to experts, this is due to the development of the military-industrial complex.

In four regions, the increase in income tax was more than 20% in annual terms: Kalmykia, Bryansk Region, Trans-Baikal Territory, Primorsky Territory. The increase was slightly less than 20% in the Tula region.

The increase in personal income tax collection generally coincides with the increase in average nominal wages at enterprises. According to Rosstat, this figure was 13.2% for the period January-September 2023 compared to the same period last year.

In absolute terms, the largest collectors of personal income tax are the Krasnodar Territory (an increase of 23.1 billion rubles), Tatarstan (19.5 billion) and the Primorsky Territory (10.7 billion). The Kurgan region collected 2.5 billion rubles in absolute terms. more than in the same period last year.

According to data from the state portal “Electronic Budget”, on December 8, the list of subjects leading in terms of relative growth in personal income tax included: (+22.1%), Smolensk region (21%), Kurgan region (20.6%), Tatarstan (20%) , Bryansk region (19.3%). The four regions annexed to Russia together collected 50.6 billion rubles this year.
