In Niger, the rebels suspended the activities of international organizations

France-Presse reports that the National Council for the Defense of the Fatherland, which came to power in Niger after the coup, announced the suspension of the work of national non-governmental organizations, international organizations and UN agencies in the country.

It is specified that their work has been suspended in areas where the armed forces of Niger conduct their military operations.

“The Interior Ministry informs international organizations, national and international NGOs and UN agencies based in Niger that their activities and movements in the areas of (military) operations are temporarily suspended,” the rebels said.
