Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Dmitry Novikov said that in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, where martial law has been introduced since October 20, according to the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, they can restrict the activities of individuals and organizations included by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the list of foreign agents.
“So far, this status has not meant a halt to the activities of organizations, only a restriction in the media space,” the deputy noted.
The law of the Russian Federation “On martial law” contains a mention that if it is introduced, the activities of foreign and international organizations that “carry out activities aimed at undermining the defense and security of the Russian Federation” are terminated.
