In Moscow, tomatoes rise in price and sausage becomes cheaper

Winter trends began to appear in price dynamics

In Moscow, sausages and sausages fell in price, and the tomato was named the most expensive vegetable. Mosstat published statistics on changes in capital prices in October.

As Mosstat told MK, experts are already noting winter trends in the formation of the cost of products. This can be seen from the “soared” prices for some vegetables and fruits. Fresh tomatoes rose in price most of all in October compared to September – by 19.8%. The prices for bananas (increased by 13.3%), oranges (by 13.2%), fresh cucumbers (by 8.3%) and cabbage (by 5.9%) did not please buyers either.

With the end of the salmon season on the Far East coast, a slight increase in the price of fish is associated: chilled and frozen cut salmon species increased in price by 2.2%, and salmon caviar – by 2%.

Some categories of products in October, on the contrary, fell in price. Of vegetables and fruits, carrots helped to save the budget of capital families, the cost of which fell by 6.3%, grapes – by 4.3%, apples – by 4.3%, lemons – by 4.2%, and pears – by 3, 9%.

In addition, prices for boiled sausages decreased by 4%, buckwheat groats by 3.4%, sugar by 3.2% and sausages and sausages by 2.6%.

In October 2022, the cost of the minimum food basket in Moscow amounted to 6,762.35 rubles. Compared to September 2022, it decreased by 0.7%, and compared to December 2021, it increased by 4.6%.

In terms of prices for non-food products, due to the end of the season of country recreation and construction, the cost of lumber (by 6.7%) and road bikes for adults (by 4.6%) decreased. Communication means became cheaper: for example, smartphones became cheaper by 5.8%. At the same time, prices for USB flash drives rose by 4.9%, enameled or stainless steel pots by 3.3% and matches by 1.9%. Of the drugs, Corvalol (25 ml) went up in price by 3.4%, while Citramon (10 tablets), on the contrary, went down in price by 4.5%.
