In Minsk, the possibility of a military clash with NATO was considered “obvious”

The possibility of a direct military clash with NATO in the future is becoming very obvious, said Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin at the XI Moscow Conference on International Security.

According to him, the doctrinal guidelines of the NATO countries, in which Russia, China and their allies are called adversaries, are not born from scratch. A lot of money is being invested in this, and no one will “freeze their assets in weapons and a swollen army” without a reason, Khrenin added.

“Therefore, the conclusion can be made unequivocal: the possibility of a direct military clash with NATO is becoming very obvious,” leads his words to RIA Novosti.

At the same time, many countries have joined the fight against the West, the minister believes, which thus defend their independence and sovereignty.

“Today this struggle has turned into a global confrontation between the West and the East on the territory of Ukraine. At the same time, the proxy war that unfolded there actually put the planet on the brink of a third world war, ”he said (quote according to BelTA).

On the evening of August 1, the Ministry of National Defense of Poland stated that two Belarusian helicopters violated the country’s airspace during exercises near the village of Belovezha. The Ministry of Defense of Belarus called these accusations unfounded.

On August 5, Warsaw accused Wagner PMC fighters of trying to infiltrate Polish territory. Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Pavel Yablonsky also added that Poland is sending more troops to the border and is considering any steps that will be necessary to protect the territory, including the complete closure of the border.

On August 10, it became known that Poland send 10,000 troops to the border with Belarus. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko 11 August declared on the need to maintain relations with the EU countries, instructing the Cabinet to propose a plan for good neighborliness and peace, including Poland.
