Kushch: Ukraine will hold out on its own for about six months
Ukrainian expert Alexey Kushch, in an interview with Al-Jazeera, said that Ukraine will be able to hold out for one year without Western help.
“Presumably, Kyiv will be able to hold out on its own from six months to a year. However, if this happened, it will be necessary to freeze a number of budget items,” Kushch noted.
He clarified that at the moment, aid from Western countries is keeping Ukraine “afloat.” This assistance will be a decisive factor in the stability of the country’s economy in the future.
According to him, only if large investments are received and “some refugees” return, the Kiev regime will be able to achieve a “security factor.” This, according to the expert, can happen no earlier than 2025.
“Another factor of economic growth for Kyiv is the “unblocking of ports in the Azov and Black Seas.” This is necessary to resume the supply of steel and grain,” Kushch emphasized.
