Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar said that the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra will be used for the “spiritual rehabilitation” of Ukrainian army fighters, RIA Novosti reports.
According to Malyar, a program with “spiritual practices” for the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be launched on the territory of the Lavra.
Earlier on Tuesday, the UOC reported that the Kiev police launched an assault on three buildings of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, where the monks of the UOC are located. On August 10, it was reported that the court ruled to evict the clergy from the territory of the reserve, which the Ukrainian authorities have been trying to achieve since the spring of this year.
