The head of the administration of the city of Pechora in Komi, Valery Serov, was detained in a bribery case, State Duma deputy from the republic Oleg Mikhailov reported in his Telegram channel.
“As reported from Pechora, today at 6 am, with the support of riot police, the head of the Pechora administration, Valery Serov, was detained in his apartment,” – wrote He.
According to him, the detention was carried out as part of a criminal case initiated on the grounds of a crime under Art. 290 part 6 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe on an especially large scale). Now Serov is being taken to Syktyvkar to testify, Mikhailov added.
The head of the city was supposed to go to the special operation zone in Ukraine on September 30 in the afternoon, the deputy noted. On September 19, Vladimir Mennikov was appointed acting head of the Pechora administration. Serov himself on his Telegram channel toldthat he had signed a contract and was going to go to the special operation zone on October 1, the head of the republic supported this decision. The official was given leave for six months.
