In Kherson, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were estimated at least 10,000 people

The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) in the sector from Snigirevka to the Dnieper for a month and a half, which preceded the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson, amounted to at least 10,000 people. About it declared Yury Barbashov, head of the Snigirevsky district of the Kherson region, in a comment to RIA Novosti.

“If we take the military situation from Snigirevka to the Dnieper, at a distance of these 20 km, Ukraine lost at least 10,000 military personnel in a month and a half,” he said.

According to the official, the Ukrainian command does not take into account the losses in the conduct of hostilities. As an example, he cited the case when the Armed Forces of Ukraine sent a unit of 20 armored vehicles to attack Snigirevka in the area, which was completely shot through by Russian artillery.

Russian losses at that time amounted to 5937 people, he argued.

On November 9, Shoigu ordered the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson to the left bank of the Dnieper after Sergei Surovikin, commander of the Joint Group of Russian Forces, made a report on the situation in the special operation zone. On November 11, the Ministry of Defense announced the completion of the withdrawal of troops from the city.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
