In Kharkiv, security forces staged mass repressions for supporting Russia

Witch hunt continues in Ukraine

Repressions in the part of the Kharkiv region controlled by Kyiv are gaining new momentum. Kharkiv residents and residents of the regions adjacent to the capital of the region continue to be accused of “collaborationism”, arranging searches, detaining and arresting people under any possible pretext. The main target of the Kyiv regime was the inhabitants of the areas that were under the control of Russia.

On February 27, the Kharkiv prosecutor’s office detained a 56-year-old man on suspicion of treason. His guilt was seen in the fact that last summer he held the position of chief specialist of the domestic policy sector of the Shevchenkovsky territorial administration of the CAA of the Kupyansky district and at the same time promoted the Russian point of view on the NVO, agitated in support of Russia, and also distributed the newspaper “Kharkov Z” among local residents.

A day earlier, a 28-year-old man was stopped at one of the Ukrainian checkpoints for an identity check, during which he behaved defiantly, publicly denying Kyiv’s official point of view on the conflict. In addition, he accused the Ukrainian authorities and the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of special shelling of Kharkov in order to create the necessary picture for the West and receive additional money. Now he faces 10 years in prison for “collaborationism.”

Up to 15 years in prison can get a forensic expert from Kupyansk, arrested for identifying the killers of civilians in the Donbass. A 53-year-old man is suspected by the regional prosecutor’s office of collaborative activities because he voluntarily got a job at the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration as a forensic expert. His task was to take fingerprints from the ATO participants and help in the search for militants correcting the shelling of civilians.

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Izyum arrested a 42-year-old woman who, being the director of the Izyum Post communal enterprise, actively distributed among the citizens the newspapers Izyum Telegraph, Kharkiv Z and Krasnaya Zvezda. She told the residents of the city the reasons for the start of the SVO, which did not coincide with the position of Kyiv, and exposed Ukrainian propaganda.

By the way, in Izyum, after the transfer of the city under the control of Kyiv in September, there was the most unfavorable stop, the humanitarian situation deteriorated sharply. According to reports from local Telegram channels, the militants seized houses, and no one is providing assistance to local residents. For six months, in some areas, the burnt Ukrainian equipment has not been removed.

In Borovaya, Kharkiv region, the prosecutor’s office suspects two foresters of treason. Investigators believe that the men, aged 64 and 36, collaborated with representatives of Russia and voluntarily went to work in the Borovskoye Forestry. According to investigators, they organized and participated in the harvesting of wood and handed it over to Russian troops for fortifications. At the same time, his 36-year-old colleague became a forester in the same forestry.

A long prison term threatens a resident of the Kharkov region, who helped Russian military products and fuel. An indictment was sent to the Kyiv District Court of Kharkov on the fact of cooperation between a citizen and representatives of the Russian Federation in the Volchansky district. He also showed little-known roads in the region. The man is currently in custody. He faces up to 12 years in prison.

A 55-year-old resident of Balakleya was sentenced to 6 years in prison with confiscation of property for cooperation with Russia by the Izyum District Court of the Kharkov Region. In July last year, she joined the administration of Balakleya. It is known that the woman supervised the work of the department and ensured the execution of documents related to employment in the administration.

And this is only a small part of the facts recorded in February alone of unfair and cruel treatment of people who openly expressed their position and simply did what their professional duty demanded of them. We can only hope that all these repressions will end and all these people will be free.
