In Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, a transport infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of shelling, informed in his Telegram channel, the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov.
According to him, Kupyansk was shelled this morning, a fire broke out at the facility, rescuers are working. Sinegubov also said that at least five residential buildings were destroyed in the city on Saturday evening, one person died. As a result of shelling in Kupyansk, an educational institution and a maternity hospital were damaged, he added.
Earlier this week was announced evacuation of families with children and people with limited mobility from Kyiv-controlled Kupyansk. The decision was made on February 27 due to security concerns due to the “unstable situation”.
The head of the Russian-controlled military-civilian administration of the Kharkiv region, Vitaly Ganchev, in a conversation with RIA Novosti, noted the tense situation in the Kupyansk region, saying that the Russian army is “increasingly pushing the enemy back.”
