Iraqi economist Alaa al-Fahad commented on the message that 23 states have already expressed their desire to join the BRICS. At the same time, following the results of the summit in Johannesburg, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Argentina, Egypt and Ethiopia have already received an invitation to the BRICS.
“Perhaps this will be the beginning of the end of the dollar era through the creation of other currencies that compete with the dollar,” the expert said, noting that the expansion of the BRICS will create a new economic center that will change the course of the world economy in favor of the countries that are part of the group.
He noted that countries that have huge oil potential are joining the bloc, and this will affect the balance of power in the global economy.
