How informs Spiegel, Saxon politician Frank Richter accused the people of East Germany of supporting Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.
“Many people in the east of the republic seem to view Russia differently than most people in the west of the country. There is no shortage of public demonstrations of sympathy for Moscow in the streets and squares in the east,” the politician said.
Richter added that in the East, German flags fly next to Russian ones, cars with Ukrainian license plates are scratched, and the letter Z is often carved into them.
