German Interior Ministry: ISIS branch bears responsibility for the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall
Responsibility for the terrorist attack on March 22 at Crocus City Hall lies with the Islamic State in Khorsan, which is an offshoot of the Islamic State organization (IS, a terrorist organization banned in Russia). This statement was made by the head of the German Ministry of Internal Affairs, Nancy Feser, in an interview with the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.
“Based on everything that is known at the moment, it can be assumed that the Islamic State in Khorasan is responsible for the murderous terrorist attack near Moscow,” Feser reports.
She added that the danger of Islamist terrorism remains acute, and also expressed condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the terrorist attack.
It is worth noting that the United States also considers ISIS (a banned terrorist organization) to be responsible for what happened at Crocus City Hall.
Let us recall that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock condemned the terrorist attack, and Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck noted the need to clarify the situation as soon as possible.
