The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fired at the Kiev and Voroshilovsky districts of Donetsk, fired 20 rockets at them within a few minutes, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported.
According to the center, rockets from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) were fired from the village of Lastochkino, Donetsk region. In the Kiev region, the shelling was recorded at 15.10 hours, two minutes later, rockets were fired at the Voroshilovsky region. the JCCC did not specify from which MLRS the shelling was carried out.
In the center of Donetsk on Sunday afternoon, several strong explosions were heard, shells fell in the area of the Covered Market, which had already been shelled earlier, a RIA Novosti correspondent also reports.
The mayor of Donetsk, Aleksey Kulemzin, citing eyewitnesses, reported damage in the area of the Covered Market, after which he published photos of the consequences of the shelling of the Voroshilovsky district on his Telegram channel.
“During the shelling of the Voroshilovsky district, the park area next to the children’s ice slide was shelled. The shell also hit the roof of the library. Krupskaya. The school “Altair” was damaged”, – wrote the head of the city, adding that there are also direct hits on residential buildings.
In January, the Ukrainian military also shelled Donetsk with MLRS, then Petrovsky district of the city was under attack. Prior to this, the JCCC reported that almost 16,000 subscribers in Donetsk lost power as a result of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
