Employees of the Russian FSB detained two citizens of Ukraine in Crimea, who, according to investigators, participated in a terrorist organization.
It is assumed that the detainees are members of the illegal armed group “Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan” (the organization has been recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia).
The suspects did not notify law enforcement agencies of their voluntary withdrawal from the national battalion, from which it follows that they continued their criminal activities, the department said.
