The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, expressed fears that the collection of Scythian gold from Crimean museums could end up in the hands of private collectors in Western countries.
“I have a very bad feeling,” said Konstantinov, “that it may end up in the hands of private Western collectors.”
He added that Scythian gold “may dissolve” and cited the example of the fate of “Egyptian and Indian artifacts.”
Earlier, the Supreme Court of the Netherlands confirmed the decision of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal, according to which the collection of Scythian gold should be transferred to Ukraine.
