In Crete, US sailors were accused of indecent behavior

In the Greek city of Chania on the island of Crete, a rally was held against the obscene behavior of the US military from the aircraft carrier George Bush. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Greek media.
The aircraft carrier arrived at NATO’s Marathi base near Chania on 10 March. According to local residents, almost immediately after the American sailors went ashore, there were several incidents involving them. The US military was intoxicated and scandalized. Some especially “tired” were taken to the ship by colleagues. At the Maritime Museum of Crete, a group of Americans started a fight, and one of the American sailors raised his hand to an elderly woman.
The action was organized by the Peace Committee of the city of Chania. The protesters went to the mayor’s office with banners “NATO, get out of the Aegean.” They conveyed demands to rein in the US military to the head of the city. After the end of the picket, the leadership of the Peace Committee posted on social networks an appeal to the residents of the city to come to a large protest against the presence of a NATO base on the island. “Let’s reaffirm our opposition to the state, which not only accepts the murderers of peoples, but also makes Greek cities more criminally dangerous with their hands,” the appeal says. The protest action is scheduled for today, March 12, at 11 am.
