In Belarus, they announced a planned check of the credentials of persons liable for military service

In Belarus, a scheduled check of the credentials of those liable for military service is carried out on behalf of the President of the Republic, reported Ministry of Defense of the country in his Telegram channel.

“During the inspection, citizens are summoned to the collection points of military commissariats, local executive and administrative bodies, mainly by subpoenas … From mid-November to the end of this year, the credentials will be verified for all, without exception, those liable for military service who are registered with the military. In this regard, during November, a significant number of citizens will take part in these events,” the message says.

The department also noted that the course of this check demonstrates a high level of understanding by Belarusians of their duties in military registration.

After Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization on September 21, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko refuted reports that it will be held in the republic. “There will be no mobilization. We are not going to mobilize. This is a lie,” he said.

On October 4, Lukashenka held a meeting on security issues, where he ordered verify citizens in reserve. “Through the military registration and enlistment offices, we have checked and will continue to check the conscripts, all the conscripts who are in our reserve,” he said at the time.

On October 7, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said that, if necessary, the republic maybe put up a resource of 500,000 trained military. Later, on October 20, he spoke about the onset of a “hot phase” in relations between Belarus and the West. He again pointed to the concentration of troops from Poland and Ukraine to the border with Belarus. Shortly thereafter, Lukashenka declared that Belarus does not plan to fight with anyone.
