In Belarus, the next stage of checking the combat readiness of the army began

The next stage of checking the combat readiness of military units and subunits of Belarus, involved in responding to crisis situations, has begun. About it reported Ministry of Defense of the Republic in his Telegram channel.

As part of the inspection, a trial formation of militia units and their performance of combat training tasks “in the interests of maintaining martial law” will take place. The Ministry of Defense also emphasized that up to 1,000 citizens liable for military service are planned to be called up to practice practical actions during a number of exercises.

“First of all, the military units and subunits deployed in the Grodno, Brest and Minsk regions will be subjected to verification. In addition to units from the Air Force and Air Defense Forces, special operations forces of the Armed Forces, operational commands, missile forces and artillery, support units will also be involved,” the statement says.

The inspection will be carried out under the leadership of Chief of the General Staff Viktor Gulevich.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has repeatedly stated that the West is preparing to invade the territory of Belarus. “The formation of certain regiments, banners, legions for the subsequent coup in Belarus is in full swing. The time will come – we will lay it all out for you, ”he said during a message to the Belarusian people and parliament. The Belarusian leader stressed that the authorities would respond to attack attempts “symmetrically, adequately.”

In December last year, in the republic, on behalf of Lukashenka passed a sudden check of the combat readiness of the armed forces.

In February of this year, Lukashenka declaredthat the republic “is by no means going to send its troops to the territory of Ukraine.” At the same time, he added, if aggression from Kyiv follows, then Minsk’s response “will be the most severe.”

Earlier in April, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Ivan Kubrakov, announced the strengthening of security measures in the border areas of the republic, especially on the border with Ukraine. According to him, both the internal troops and employees of the internal affairs bodies are serving in these territories.
