In Armenia about the problems due to the country’s membership in the CSTO

Armenia’s membership in the CSTO brings it “certain problems,” Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan said in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
At the same time, he noted that the presence of Armenia in the CSTO as a whole does not limit Yerevan’s interaction with other states.
“We are working intensively with our Western partners to strengthen our security cooperation and will continue this work,” he said.
He also stated that it is difficult for him to give an example of the benefits for Armenia from membership of the CSTO, saying that his country was “attacked three times.”
“As a result, the so-called military alliance is offering a fact-finding mission in Armenia,” he said, adding that it was not serious.
In April, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed his readiness to agree to the deployment of a CSTO mission in the regions bordering Azerbaijan.
