The authorities of Champaign County in the US state of Illinois issued a statement saying that there was a hacker attack during the congressional elections.
The statement clarifies that the hackers disrupted the site of the district administration.
“This is a strategic and planned attempt to undermine and destabilize our democratic process … and dissuade voters from voting,” the local authorities said, urging citizens not to succumb to provocations.
