The Israel Defense Forces shelled Lebanon in response to several mortar shells fired by the government. As the IDF reported on its telegram channel, two posts of the armed forces came under fire – in the area of Shtula and Yifta.
As a result of night mortar attacks in the Shtula area, several military personnel were injured.
“Three IDF soldiers were slightly injured and were evacuated for medical treatment. Their families have been notified,” the IDF said in a statement.
According to the department, shelling from Lebanon at a post in the Yifta area was recorded recently.
“In response, artillery struck the sources of fire,” the IDF concluded.
Earlier it became known that the Israel Defense Forces attacked about 200 Hamas sites in the Gaza Strip.
