IDF reports operation against Hamas near Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is conducting a “precise and targeted” operation against the Palestinian group Hamas in the area of ​​the Al-Shifa Medical Center in the Gaza Strip. About it it says on the IDF Telegram channel.

“The Israel Defense Forces are conducting a ground operation in Gaza to defeat Hamas and rescue our hostages. Israel is at war with Hamas, not with civilians in Gaza,” the message emphasizes.

The IDF claims that the hospital is home to Hamas militants who are using Gazan civilians as human shields. On November 14, the Israeli army demanded that the group cease all hostilities in the area of ​​the hospital within 12 hours, but this did not happen, the report said.

It is alleged that the IDF facilitated the evacuation of the hospital and maintained regular dialogue with the management of the medical center. In addition, the army has medical teams and Arabic speakers who are “specially trained to carry out such a complex and sensitive operation” so as not to harm civilians. Finally, the IDF again called for the surrender of Hamas militants in the hospital.

According to her, the militants also allegedly store weapons on the hospital premises.

The IDF began carrying out strikes in the Gaza Strip after Hamas militants attacked the southern parts of the country on October 7. The Israeli military then moved on to ground operations. As a result of the attack by militants from the Israeli side, about 1,400 people were killed and more than 200 were taken hostage.
