Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Maria Zabolotskaya, during a meeting of the UN Security Council, called the International Criminal Court a direct accomplice in the crimes of the collective West.
Zabolotskaya spoke in connection with the consideration of the report of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court on the investigation of the situation in Darfur.
“The ICC is a direct accomplice in the crimes of the collective West,” she said. According to her, this body is engaged in fabricating cases against those who are “designated as bad guys”, but ignores the crimes of persons loyal to the West and covers up their Western masters. Zabolotskaya said that now the ICC has become “synonymous with impunity”, and the blood of the victims of the crimes of the West is now on the representative of the ICC.
She noted that in the context of the conflict in Sudan, the ICC has not yet decided on its position, since its Western masters have also not yet decided who to support.
“The ICC was conceived as a global, international body of justice. However, from the very beginning, something went wrong with the practical implementation of this ideal … The ambitious project of a truly universal, impartial international court failed,” she said.
Zabolotskaya called on all concerned countries to think about strengthening national justice and stop participating in the ICC, since this body has lost all connection with justice.
