IAEA: Explosion near Zaporizhzhya NPP led to a power outage of Unit IV

The press service of the International Atomic Energy Agency issued a message, which refers to the consequences of the explosion that occurred in the vicinity of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant on Sunday, October 30.
The IAEA noted that as a result of the emergency, the main power line of the fourth power unit of the station was disconnected.
“The explosion of a mine outside the perimeter of the Zaporozhye NPP cut off the main power line of the IV power unit,” the agency said, adding that at present, electricity for the necessary functioning in the field of security is supplied through a backup line.
