The decision of the European Union to extend the free import of products from Ukraine will not affect Hungary’s decision to maintain a national ban on it, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture said.
The European Commission, with its decision, does not act in the interests of Eastern European farmers and does not offer a solution to the problems associated with the import of Ukrainian grain, the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture said.
The stability of agriculture and the future of farmers may be at risk, the department said.
