Hungarian Foreign Ministry rules out cessation of contacts with Russia at the highest level
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations of Hungary, Peter Szijjártó, in a conversation with Russian journalists, ruled out the cessation of contacts between Budapest and Moscow at the highest level.
The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry recalled that diplomacy precisely implies the ability to conduct dialogue even in difficult circumstances.
“It is obvious to us that we need to maintain contact with the Russian leadership. I myself am in contact with my Russian colleagues… Communication channels must be open, because if we close them, we will reduce the chances for peace in the future,” Szijjarto emphasized.
