Hungary is interested in “where did” the EU money allocated to Kyiv go?

Hungary considers the proposal of the European Commission to allocate another 50 billion euros to Ukraine as absurd, despite the fact that it is still not clear what the already allocated funds have gone for. Such a statement on Thursday, June 29, was made by the head of the Hungarian Cabinet Viktor Orban.
The politician said that “first of all, we would like to see how much the European Union has allocated money to Ukraine by this moment from various sources and where they have gone.”
On HirTV, he stressed that “every European citizen would like to ask these questions,” but the European Commission “does not yet have an answer to them.”
Earlier, Viktor Orban on his Twitter page ridiculed the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who asked for additional funds from the EU countries for the needs of Kyiv. The Hungarian politician posted a meme with a confused John Travolta from the movie “Pulp Fiction” and expressed bewilderment due to the fact that just two years ago the EU’s seven-year budget was adopted. However, the money has already disappeared from it.
Orban also expressed the view that Western military cooperation with Kiev is the main mistake. He stressed that Kyiv needs to resolve the conflict through diplomacy, since otherwise it will be doomed to defeat due to the impossibility of competing with Russia in terms of resources.
