Hungary condemns attack on Druzhba oil pipeline
Hungary considers a terrorist attack against the Druzhba oil pipeline, through which the country receives oil from Russia, as a threat to its energy security.
This was announced on Thursday, May 11, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of the country, Peter Szijjarto, following negotiations with the Energy Minister of the technical government of Bulgaria, Rosen Hristov.
“The alleged attack on a pipeline from Russia to Europe is an attack on our security, and our energy security is a matter of our sovereignty,” Szijjarto said.
Earlier, the governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz reported that a Ukrainian drone attacked the Klintsovsk oil depot.
There were no casualties as a result of the incident; the concrete base and the tank for storing oil products were partially damaged.
