The Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations of Hungary, Peter Szijjártó, in an interview with the Austrian publication Exxpress, pointed out the need to maintain open channels of communication with Russia to end the conflict in Ukraine and achieve a ceasefire.
In response to a question about what steps he believes should be taken to end the conflict or at least achieve a temporary truce, Szijjártó noted that maintaining open lines of communication plays a key role in this process.
He also added that despite criticism from some European colleagues and Brussels, these contacts remain an important element of the strategy for the peaceful resolution of the conflict.
