Hungary accused Kyiv of corrupt embezzlement of allocated money

Part of the funds allocated to Ukraine as part of assistance from Western countries was spent by Kiev for other purposes, but was stolen through corruption channels, said Balazs Orban, adviser to the Hungarian Prime Minister on political issues. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

He noted that Europe is currently discussing another aid package for Ukraine, but the existing proposals “are not serious” and are evidence of a “serious lack of leadership and a strategic vacuum.”

Orban said that it does not even analyze how Kyiv spent the previously allocated funds.

“Unfortunately, over the previous period it turned out that part of the money sent to Ukraine was sent not to the proper place, but to corruption channels,” he wrote on social networks, noting that there is no guarantee that new tranches of aid will not suffer the same fate.
