Hublot collaboration with Shepard Fairey – News – Style – Kommersant

Californian street artist and graphic designer Shepard Fairey, world-famous for his installation “Earth Crisis”, which was the first piece of art to be exhibited at the Eiffel Tower, along with Takashi Murakami, Richard Orlinski and Maxime Bouchy, has been part of the Hublot Love Art creative family since 2018. Since then, two limited-edition Fairey-designed Hublot watches have been released, and now it’s the turn of the third – a series of 50 pieces of the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph All Black Shepard Fairey.
The partners again chose the mandala (in Sanskrit – “circle”) as the central element of the dial. This geometric pattern of repeating elements is a constant theme and source of inspiration for the artist. In addition, thanks to the shape of the mandala, it perfectly matches the round watch face. Adding depth to this painting are recognizable elements of Hublot’s traditional All Black design. The 45mm case is crafted from black ceramic engraved with Shepard Fairey designs and is secured to the wrist by a classic black rubber strap. The openwork design of the mandala and the transparent sapphire caseback make it possible to see the details of the automatic chronograph movement with one additional 30-minute counter.
