House Republicans refuse to support Biden’s budget proposal

House Speaker Mike Johnson released a joint statement from House Republicans saying they are refusing to support President Joe Biden’s 2025 budget proposal released today by the White House.
In the document, Republicans called the project “wrong” and emphasized that they had taken steps to return the United States “to the path of fiscal sanity.”
Republicans were outraged that Biden was going to spend trillions of money “to advance his leftist agenda” at a time when American workers are struggling with severe inflation and a growing national debt.
Biden’s proposed budget is a “road map to accelerating decline” in the United States, the joint statement said.
