American journalist Seymour Hersh considers it possible to publish new materials on explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines. He said this on Friday in an interview with the Consortium News portal.
“Perhaps I will write more about this mechanism,” the journalist said.
What exactly he could add to what has already been written, Hersh did not specify.
However, he noted that Norway, Sweden and Denmark in this story “have to explain” their position, when they, assuming that preparations were underway for sabotage, preferred to remain silent about this.
On February 8, Seymour Hersh published his investigation, in which, citing a source, he stated that explosive devices under the Russian Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines were planted under the cover of the Baltops exercise by US Navy divers with the support of Norwegian specialists, who subsequently brought them into action. According to Hersh, the decision to carry out the operation was made by US President Joe Biden. Prior to that, he discussed this for 9 months with the national security team in his administration.
