The head of the General Staff of Romania announced the country’s unpreparedness for armed confrontation with Russia
Romanian Chief of Defense Staff Gheorghita Vlad said the country is not prepared for a potential armed conflict with Russia and criticized the decision to abolish compulsory military service in Romania.
Earlier, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Germany is not ready for the “security challenges” that the European Union and NATO may face, and spoke of the need to prepare to counter “threats emanating from Russia” and other countries.
Russian politicians have repeatedly emphasized that Russia does not pose a threat to NATO countries and is ready for an open dialogue on an equal basis, but will not ignore actions that are dangerous to its interests.
