Hayao Miyazaki to release new animated film

Japanese animation studio Ghibli has announced a new feature film by animator Hayao Miyazaki. Painting “How are you?” (How do you live?/ Kimi wa dou ikiru ka?) will be released in theaters on July 14, 2023.
Mr. Miyazaki’s animated film is based on the book of the same name by Japanese writer Yoshino Genzaburo, published in 1937. It is considered a classic of children’s literature in Japan. It tells about a fifteen-year-old boy Junichi Honda, nicknamed Koper-kun, who recently lost his father.
The book begins with a teenager observing the life of his hometown of Tokyo, the thousands of people below, and begins to ponder the important questions of life. In Yoshino Genzaburo’s work, he touches on the themes of class equality, socialist philosophy, and Marxist economics.
In 2013, Hayao Miyazaki announced his retirement, but in 2016, the animator said that he intended to make another feature film, which was the film How Do You Do?. October 27, Studio Ghibli Producer Koji Hoshino declaredthat this will be Mr. Miyazaki’s last film.
Hayao Miyazaki became the first animated film director to win the Japanese Academy Award for Best Film of the Year (Princess Mononoke, 1997). Miyazaki’s Spirited Away is considered one of the greatest animated films in history. (2001). The picture was awarded such awards as the prize of the Japanese Film Academy, the Golden Bear of the Berlin Film Festival in 2002, and the Oscar in 2003.
