Residents of the television project Comedy Club are worthy successors to the satirical program “Gorodok”. This opinion was expressed by People’s Artist of Russia Yuri Stoyanov, one of the main participants in the popular project in the 90s and zero years. The famous actor spoke about his attitude towards the younger generation of comedians in an interview on Tuesday, December 13.
Another wave of viewers’ interest in Stoyanov and his unusual image this year arose after the launch of the TV series Vampires of the Middle Band, the new season of which comes out on December 13. The journalists asked the master of artistic art whether there are now worthy successors to the once popular program “Gorodok” on Russian television, in which he starred along with another famous actor Ilya Oleinikov. Recall that this project began in 1993 and aired on the Russia-1 channel (formerly known as RTR and Rossiya). In total, 439 issues of the satirical program were created. Filming stopped only in 2012 due to the death of Oleinikov.
“This is a huge number of wonderful guys inside the Comedy Club,” said Yuri Stoyanov, answering a question. At the same time, the artist noted that this is his personal point of view and the comedians themselves “may not think so.” In addition, he put domestic stand-up comedians, especially women, on a par with the residents of the Comedy Club. The famous actor stressed that he tries not to miss the performances of comedians.
Earlier, Stoyanov spoke flatteringly about KVN. In particular, he said that he loves the program for its authors.
