Eight films about Harry Potter will be removed from the library of the Kinopoisk online cinema at the request of the copyright holder on January 31. A notification about this appeared in the web version of the service and on pages the films themselves. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald are also only available until the end of January.

The films will also be removed from the library of the Amediateka streaming service, which owns the rights to this Warner Bros content, available for viewing on Kinopoisk through the Plus extended subscription.

Harry Potter novel series became unavailable in MyBook and LitRes electronic catalogs on April 8, 2022. The removal from sale of a series of novels is also connected with the decision of the copyright holder.

Foreign-produced films are disappearing from most Russian online cinemas, as many companies announced in March last year that they were ceasing to license content for viewers from Russia.
