The annual report of the Finnish police told about the successful fight against “Russian intelligence”
In Finland, the number of so-called “Russian intelligence officers” has halved in 2022, the Finnish Security Police SUPO reported.
In the annual SUPO report on the security situation in Suomi, traditionally, a whole section is devoted to “Russian intelligence”. In addition, for the first time in recent years, a separate press release was issued. According to it, the expulsion of “Russian intelligence” employees, as well as the refusal to issue visas on the recommendation of SUPO, contributed to the reduction of the “Russian spy network”.
For these reasons, as noted in the press release, in 2022, “the Russian intelligence post has been reduced by about half.”
