Rescuers are extinguishing a fire at an oil depot in Voronezh, informed Governor of the region Alexander Gusev.

“In Voronezh, a burning fuel tank is being extinguished at an oil depot on the street. Dimitrov. More than 100 firefighters and 30 pieces of equipment are working on the spot,” the head of the region wrote on his Telegram channel. According to him, there were no casualties as a result of the incident.

Earlier, the fire at the oil depot was reported in the media. It was also reported about the overflight of a helicopter in the area of ​​fire, wrote Baza Telegram channel. In addition, Gusev refuted information about the movement of columns of military equipment on the territory of the Voronezh region. According to him, “information provocations” are created by those who are interested in destabilizing the situation.

This is happening against the backdrop of events related to the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin. On the evening of June 23, on social networks associated with Prigozhin, on his behalf, it was announced about a missile attack on one of the rear camps of a military company and other statements were circulated. The Ministry of Defense stated that reports of attacks on Wagner PMC fighters are not true and are an “information provocation.” The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the Investigation Department of the FSB of Russia opened a criminal case on the organization of an armed rebellion against Prigozhin.

Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an appeal, where he called what was happening “a blow to Russia, to our people.” He stated that those who “deliberately embarked on the path of betrayal, who prepared an armed rebellion, embarked on the path of blackmail and terrorist methods, will suffer inevitable punishment.”
