Retired Greek Air Force Major General Pavlos Christou said that at the moment Kyiv does not have the capacity for a general offensive.
According to him, now the main hostilities are being conducted in a limited area, in the south.
“Ukraine is still holding out because the fighting is taking place in the south, in a limited field. In the event that at some point the field expands to theaters of military operations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not be able to respond,” Christou added.
He clarified that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can launch a counteroffensive, but it is the general offensive of Ukraine on all fronts that is impossible. In particular, because the military mechanism of Ukraine does not have the appropriate capabilities.
Christou noted that at present the parties to the conflict need to negotiate an agreement.
