The British authorities have signed a contract for the production and supply of new NLAW anti-tank missile systems to the armed forces of the country. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom Ben Wallace.
As the head of the British military department noted, in 2023 the army will receive a replacement for anti-tank systems that were previously sent to Ukraine. Prior to this, the British press reported that at least half of all ATGM stocks were transferred to the Ukrainian armed forces.
According to Wallace, the first batch of NLAW will include 500 complexes. The next batch will number “already in the thousands.” Also, the country’s authorities signed contracts for the supply of low-speed missiles and artillery shells.
