An unidentified object was detected and neutralized in the sky over the suburban Kresty microdistrict, located near the Pskov airport, informed Governor of the Pskov region Mikhail Vedernikov in his Telegram channel.
“In the Krestov area, observers at one of the airspace control posts found a single unidentified object in the sky,” he wrote.
There are no damages or casualties due to the incident, Vedernikov added.
On August 30, all flights were canceled at the Pskov airport after a night attacks drones to the airfield. As a result, no one was injured, but the Il-76 aircraft were damaged. On the same day, drone raids were recorded in the Moscow, Oryol, Kaluga, Bryansk and Ryazan regions and in the Crimea. Later, Vedernikov said that the consequences of the attack were eliminated, and the airport resumed work on August 31. According to him, the runway remained “in normal condition.” The damage from the attack is assessed, the civilian infrastructure was not damaged, he said.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin was informed about the night attack on August 30 by drones in the regions. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the massive drone attack “an absolute dead end” in which Kyiv is located. According to her, recent incidents indicate the lack of development prospects for the leadership of Ukraine.
