Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit, speaking to reporters, expressed confidence that the possibility of a massive invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the territory of the region is unlikely.
At the same time, he acknowledged that the danger of Ukrainian sabotage reconnaissance groups penetrating into Russian territories in small numbers remains. However, the current situation does not require the evacuation of a large number of Kursk civilians.
“All trainings have been carried out, all the heads of village councils and districts are well aware of how to act in cooperation with the border guards and the military. … Taking into account the tactics of the enemy, we understand what our tactics should be,” Starovoit said.
