The governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, asked residents to refrain from traveling to the center of Rostov-on-Don and not to leave their homes. About this he wrote in your Telegram channel.
“Dear countrymen! In connection with the current situation, I ask you to refrain from traveling to the city center and, if possible, not to leave your homes,” he wrote.
Later Golubev addedthat the city administration and services were instructed to “take the necessary measures to preserve the normal functioning of all city systems.” The governor added that he is keeping the issue under control. In the city itself was changed traffic pattern – there are temporary restrictions on the Taganrog, as well as on the northern direction from Rostov-on-Don. All public events in the city have been cancelled.
On the evening of June 23, the Ministry of Defense stated that reports that the Russian Armed Forces allegedly attacked Wagner PMC fighters were not true. “All the messages and video footage distributed on social networks on behalf of Yevgeny Prigozhin about the alleged “strike by the RF Ministry of Defense on the rear camps of Wagner PMCs are untrue and are an informational provocation,” the defense department stressed.
The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the investigative department of the FSB of Russia opened a criminal case on the organization of an armed rebellion against Prigozhin. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin was informed about what was happening.
