Golikova proposed to reduce the insurance premium when hiring teenagers

The reduced insurance premium rate of 7.6% should be extended to employers who accept teenagers, said Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.
According to her, such a measure will help increase “white” employment and employ young people aged 14-18. “It would be possible to consider extending to such teenagers, more precisely, to employers who employ such teenagers, a reduced insurance premium of 7.6%,” she noted (quote by Interfax).
The Deputy Prime Minister believes that this will allow this type of employment to be taken out of the “gray” zone, in which contributions are not paid.
In August, Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova reported that the number of self-employed minors had almost doubled since last year. According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the number of such citizens is about 77,000.
At the moment, minors can obtain the status of self-employed from the age of 14 with the consent of their parents.
